“ Pleasantly surprised by the pizza at this place. The crust was similar go di fara. Its a very slept on slice in Astoria and deserves to be tried. ”
“ I am nearing 60 years old and used to live in Astoria from mid 60s to mid 70s when we moved to Manhattan. What I miss from my childhood in Astoria was the great pizza you could get at nearly any mom and pop pizza joint. Well, that doesn't exist any more, especially in Manhattan, and if it does, it's probably 10 buck a slice. So, in my early golden years I have been yearning for a good standard slice of NY pizza when I stumbled upon a video on FB of Gaudio's showcasing the pizza and food and I swear the images brought me back to my childhood memories of great pizza. Well, last weekend I convinced my girlfriend to drive me out to Astoria to try this pizza. They do not disappoint! Not only is this pizza as good as pizza was back when I was a kid, it somehow tasted better! This is the best pizza joint that I have been to in DECADES! And, its extremely affordable. The people are very friendly. The guys I saw in the video were actually there working. It seems like a great friendly place that really takes care of their customers. The place is extremely clean and inviting. It's like a small intimate Italian restaurant. I can't wait to go back and try the chicken parm. This is my new go to joint! I will definitely be going back many times! ”
